1976

Ballydine commences production.

1978 Solvent recovery, additional warehouse and production facilities are added to assist expansion of the plant's manufacturing capacity.
1985 A development laboratory is built.
1987 Ballydine launches a five-year programme of environmental upgrades costing IR£30m.
1994 A new process control system is installed, enhancing productivity, quality, safety performance and environmental protection.
1994 A small-scale facility is built, expanding the plant's manufacturing capability and enabling the production of speciality products.
1997 Due to increasing demand for Merck's products, Ballydine embarks on a two-year Capacity Expansion Project costing £130m.
1999 The new manufacturing facility at Ballydine commences production, increasing capacity by 50 per cent.
2001 Ballydine celebrates 25 years of manufacturing.

Commercialisation activity commences at Ballydine
